Stainless Wire Pour-Over Dripper | COFFEE KOGU
Simple in form, packed with thoughtful detail

About Coffee Kogu
Coffee Kogu (珈琲考具) is a coffee-tool brand from Shimomura Kihan, a housewares company in Tsubame-Sanjo, Niigata — Japan's best-known center of metalworking. The name joins ko (to think) and gu (tool): tools carefully thought through so you can brew better coffee. Many pieces are developed with feedback from professional baristas and make full use of the region's stainless-steel craftsmanship.
A wire structure for better-tasting coffee
When you brew, ground coffee releases gas — one of the causes of harsh, muddy flavors. In a conventional dripper the paper filter clings to the walls and the gas can't fully escape. With this wire frame, gas escapes through the gaps around the filter, so your coffee tastes cleaner and clearer.

The open structure also gives plenty of airflow, so hot water passes evenly through the grounds and the aroma comes through smoothly. And don't worry — water won't leak out of the filter just because the frame is wire.
Designed to be easy to use
Coffee Kogu develops its tools with feedback from professional baristas, so ease of use matters as much as taste and beauty.
- All stainless steel, so it's easy to keep clean.
- Sized to sit on both coffee servers and mugs.
- Works with both cone-shaped and flat-bottom (trapezoid) paper filters.
- You can see the coffee level through the gaps, so you won't overflow your mug.

Three sizes for any number of cups

The Large Dripper brews 2–6 cups, the Dripper 2–4 cups, and the One Dripper a single cup. Set it directly on a server or your favorite mug. Light and made of stainless steel, the One Dripper is also great for camping and outdoor coffee.
Actually handmade by craftsmen

Most of the work on this dripper is done by hand — something possible only in Tsubame-Sanjo, Japan's metalworking town. Every wire is welded one by one, and the precise bends are pure craftsmanship. It looks very simple, yet it takes a great deal of time and care. The region's know-how is what makes this quality possible at this price.
