Powder Control Hand Coffee Grinder | COFFEE KOGU
A hand grinder that removes bitterness at the source

About Coffee Kogu
Coffee Kogu (珈琲考具) is a coffee-tool brand from Shimomura Kihan, a housewares company in Tsubame-Sanjo, Niigata — Japan's best-known center of metalworking. The name joins ko (to think) and gu (tool): tools carefully thought through so you can brew better coffee. Many pieces are developed with feedback from professional baristas and make full use of the region's stainless-steel craftsmanship.
Designed to reduce harsh flavors
One cause of unpleasant, muddy flavors in coffee is the fine powder created when beans are ground — and every grinder produces some. That's where the fourth, bottom section of the Powder Control Mill comes in. It holds a special mesh developed by Coffee Kogu that lets only the fine powder fall through, separating it from your grounds. The result is coffee with a crisp, clear taste.

Everything you need in a grinder
The burr is made of Japanese ceramic, and you can adjust the grind from fine to coarse. It can be rinsed with water, and it's compact enough to take outdoors for fresh coffee anywhere.

All the essentials of a good hand grinder, plus one extra function: removing the fine powder. Beyond cutting out harshness, it lets you discover different flavors from the same beans.
