About Hirota Glass

Founded in Tokyo in 1899, Hirota Glass is one of the oldest glassmakers in the city. Tokyo's thriving glass industry fused glass from the West with a Japanese sense of beauty, creating a uniquely Japanese style of design. Drawing on the valuable design archives passed down since its founding, Hirota Glass carries on traditional handcraft such as Edo kiriko cut glass and hand-blown glass, and continues to make products that harmonize with modern interiors.

FAQ

How much does the carafe hold?
About 200 ml — roughly four servings for the 50 ml cups.

Can I use it for warm sake?
No. It is not suitable for warm sake (kanzake). Please enjoy it with chilled or room-temperature sake, and do not heat it in a microwave.

How is it packed for shipping?
As glass is fragile, we pack each set carefully with plenty of cushioning. In the unlikely event that it arrives damaged, please contact us — we will send a replacement as quickly as possible.

Is it dishwasher safe?
No. Please wash it gently by hand with a neutral detergent.
