A spoon that scoops up every last drop

THE DINNER SPOON is designed to scoop easily, right down to the last mouthful of curry or stew, or the sauce pooled at the bottom of the plate. Its cross-section is shaped so that the bowl becomes thinner towards the outer edge. The rim is then finished flat using the maker’s hiramen (flat-face) technique, which makes the spoon even easier to scoop with and pleasantly smooth in the mouth.

The answer for the handle: an oval
Cutlery handles generally come in two shapes: flat or round. But spoons are often tilted as you scoop, and forks and knives are turned sideways, flipped over or gripped firmly. THE chose an oval, halfway between flat and round, so that your fingers keep just the right amount of contact with the handle at any angle.
THE’s best answer for every part
Cutlery is something you rarely replace once you have bought it. Break any piece down by function and it has two parts: the handle, which you hold, and the head, which touches food and your mouth. THE studied each part separately and gave every piece in the range the shape it considers best today: simple, comfortable and easy to use without a second thought.

Choose Gift Box for a coloured box that is ready to give as it is, or Without Gift Box for simple packaging when the cutlery is for yourself.

If an item is temporarily out of stock, we order it from the maker for you; shipping may then take about 2–3 weeks longer.
