The colors of Yonezawa’s sky, around your neck

sora means “sky.” Layers of color evoke the gradations of the sky, and when you wear it, the snood falls into natural shades and depth. Just slip it over your head: no tying, no slipping off.
About nitorito
nitorito is a factory brand from Yonezawa, Yamagata, a city famous for its textiles (Yonezawa-ori). The name comes from “knit to ori to”, knit and weave, the two crafts the factory does at a level trusted by luxury brands in Japan and abroad. Every design is inspired by the landscapes of Yonezawa, and only natural fibers such as cotton and wool are used.

Four colors
- Brown: an evening sky over trees and land, with deep brown and calm green.
- Gray: Yonezawa’s winter night sky on snowy days, moonlight glowing faintly through thick clouds, in shades of gray.
- Beige: soft beige layered with pale pink, brightening the face.
- Wine: a deep red with navy lines, warm for autumn and winter.

Circular jacquard knitting
nitorito’s quality comes from a rare circular jacquard knitting machine, which knits the fabric as a tube. The fabric is then felted, so each stole can be finished with a single cut and no sewing: every nitorito stole has raw, cut edges. It is a technique other makers cannot easily copy, and it allows designs and patterns that no other knitting method can produce.
As a factory brand, nitorito is uncompromising about quality, materials and finish, at a price that would be hard to find elsewhere for the same quality. In place of a luxury label, it carries the Yonezawa-ori tag as proof of quality.

Yonezawa, Yamagata
A textile brand from Yonezawa, Yamagata — a snowy town famous for its weaving. Born from Aobun Textile, a mill with more than 140 years of history that excels at both circular knitting and weaving, nitorito ('knit and weave') designs every stole after Yonezawa's landscapes and makes it entirely in the town, using only natural fibers such as wool and cotton.
