About hmny

hmny is a leather goods brand from Higashikagawa, Kagawa, Japan’s leading leather-glove region. It was born in 2006 when Ruboa, a leather-glove maker founded in 1961, teamed up with a designer and a producer. Every piece is cut and sewn in Japan by craftspeople trained in glove making, a craft that demands precise material choice, cutting and sewing.

1. Compact and thoughtfully made

This tri-fold wallet fits neatly in one palm. The hidden inside has a silver antibacterial lining that makes bills easy to see, and the coin pocket on the back has a gusset and a wide opening for easy use.

2. Leather that grows with you

The water-repellent cowhide feels comfortable in the hand and suits any age. The more you use it, the more it takes on a rich, one-of-a-kind character. A good choice if you find carrying a separate wallet and coin purse a hassle.

3. Glove-maker’s sewing

Craftspeople sew each wallet stitch by stitch. Their skill shows in details such as seams that are hidden from view.
