The Highest Quality Teapot from Tokoname

The maker of iroiro teapots is Jinsui from Tokoname. Tokoname City in Aichi Prefecture is known as Japan's premier teapot production area, and Jinsui handles the most teapots within this top region. Naturally, through repetition, their techniques have been refined, enabling them to maintain efficiency while creating high-quality products. "JINSUI" is a teapot brand filled with dedication, created by the highly skilled Jinsui.

Easy Maintenance Teatime with Integrated Tea Strainer

Many people feel that washing the tea strainer is troublesome when drinking tea with a teapot. JINSUI's teapots feature a "Ceramesh" where the strainer part is integrated with the body, allowing you to pour tea without using a metal strainer, making maintenance easy. Furthermore, because of the integrated strainer, tea leaves can open up evenly and beautifully in the wide space inside the teapot, extracting components without waste. Without metallic odors or off-flavors, you can enjoy the true taste of tea.

Removing Tea's Impurities for a Smoother Taste

The Tokoname ware clay used in iroiro has the property of removing impurities contained in water, and absorbs the astringency in tea. Therefore, it is said to have the effect of making tea taste smoother.

Another reason why tea from Tokoname ware teapots is considered delicious is "lid fitting." "Lid fitting" is a manufacturing process where the lid and body are ground together to make them adhere closely. Through this special technique, craftsmen ensure that the lid and body fit perfectly. Therefore, if the combination changes, they won't match, and it would no longer be "Tokoname ware." This process increases the airtightness inside the teapot, allowing the tea leaves to steep sufficiently, resulting in a delicious, aromatic, and wonderful teatime.

Mood-Lifting "Round" Shape and Colors

Tokoname ware traditionally uses red clay called "shudei" as its raw material, characteristically resulting in a vermilion finish. JINSUI has retained the good points of Tokoname ware while adding design elements without focusing on vermilion. The cute colors and round, plump shape that make you want to use them for relaxing teatime on holidays lift your mood just by using them.

In the craftsman's world, the time spent enjoying tea is called "tokiwasure" (forgetting time). Forgetting time, and then remembering it. This is JINSUI's teapot for enjoying such special "time." These unique, cute teapots are perfect for housewarming gifts, birthday presents, and more. The teapot becomes one-of-a-kind through the lid-fitting process: "the lid and body, two pieces becoming one." With such meaning, we also recommend selecting it as a wedding gift.
